Cookie Policy
This is a short page because there is hardly anything to disclose: ScanMaster sets no cookies at all — not first-party, not third-party, not analytics, not advertising.
1. Cookies: none
A cookie is a small record the server asks your browser to store and send back with every later request. We do not use them. There is no session cookie (there is no session to maintain — no account), no consent-banner-managed advertising cookie, and no analytics cookie from Google Analytics, Plausible, Meta Pixel or any similar service, because no such script is loaded on this site.
2. What we do use: localStorage
localStorage is not a cookie. It is storage inside your browser that is neverattached to network requests, so nothing in it is transmitted to us or to anyone else. Three keys exist:

3. Strictly necessary technical storage
Your browser caches the JavaScript bundles that implement the tools so a repeat visit loads faster, and the hosting provider may use its own content-delivery cache. These are ordinary HTTP caches, not personal identifiers.
4. No consent banner, deliberately
Consent banners exist to ask permission for tracking. Since there is no tracking to permit, and the local storage above is exempt from consent requirements under GDPR ePrivacy rules as strictly necessary for the function you requested, we do not interrupt you with a banner. If we ever add measurable analytics, this page and the banner appear together.
5. Clearing everything
- Use My Space and press Clear my data — that wipes your recent and favourite lists.
- Or in your browser: site settings → Cookies and site data → Clear, which also resets the theme choice.
- Private/Incidental browsing keeps nothing after the window closes, with no extra steps.
