About Excel to PDF

Excel to PDF is on the roadmap and not working yet, and this page says so instead of leaving you with a dead button. Why it is not live yet: requires server-side spreadsheet rendering (LibreOffice). Everything else on this site runs in your browser today; the parts marked coming soon need capability a browser tab does not have.

Reach for it when building a PDF out of something that is not a PDF is a one-off rather than a workflow: one file, one result, no account in front of it.

How to use Excel to PDF in 3 steps

  1. This tool is marked coming soon, so nothing here will convert or process a file — read the reason stated above before you spend time on it.
  2. Use the closest tool that does work today: it takes XLS, XLSX, CSV, so look for a live tool in Create & Convert to PDF.
  3. Bring the result back here for the rest of the job — merging, compressing, protecting or signing a finished file all work today.

What you get with Excel to PDF

  • Accepts XLS, XLSX, CSV in one go
  • Runs in your browser — the file is never uploaded
  • Free to use, with no signup and no account
  • No watermark or logo added to your output
  • Works on desktop and mobile, no install

Excel to PDF: questions

Which file types does Excel to PDF accept?
The drop area takes XLS, XLSX, CSV. Files are read from your device in the browser, so the format has to be one a browser can decode — that is why the accepted list on this page is finite and honest rather than "everything".
What do I get back from Excel to PDF?
The result is PDF, offered as a download the moment the work finishes. Multiple results come back together rather than as fifty separate save dialogs.
Is there a file size limit?
A single file may be up to 100 MB, and a batch up to 50 files. Those are guardrails rather than a paid tier — the work happens on your machine, so an enormous document is limited by your own memory before it is limited by us.
Where does the processing actually happen?
In this tab. The file is read locally, converted or edited locally, and handed back as a download — no copy is sent to a server, so there is nothing for anyone to breach or keep.
