About Extract PDF Attachments

Extract PDF Attachments is here for reading and pulling content out of files: unbundle files embedded in a PDF. It takes PDF and produces ZIP. Files up to 100 MB each, 50 at a time, and the work happens on your own machine rather than on a server.

The slow route to reading and pulling content out of files is installing something, making an account and uploading the file; this is the fast route.

How to use Extract PDF Attachments in 3 steps

  1. Drop the file on the page — PDF, one file up to 100 MB.
  2. There is nothing to configure for Extract PDF Attachments — the embedded files are listed and unpacked.
  3. Press Extract and download the ZIP result.

What you get with Extract PDF Attachments

  • Nothing to configure — drop the file and press the button
  • Runs in your browser — the file is never uploaded
  • Free to use, with no signup and no account
  • No watermark or logo added to your output
  • Works on desktop and mobile, no install

Extract PDF Attachments: questions

Is there a file size limit?
A single file may be up to 100 MB, and a batch up to 50 files. Those are guardrails rather than a paid tier — the work happens on your machine, so an enormous document is limited by your own memory before it is limited by us.
Does my file get uploaded?
No. The page reads the file through the browser's own file API and processes it in the tab. Closing the tab discards the working copy, which is why there is no storage to clear and no retention policy to read.
Can I use this on mobile?
The page is responsive and the work runs in the browser on the device, so a file you just downloaded or photographed can be processed without moving it to a computer first.
Why is it free?
Because the expensive part — the server farm — does not exist. Processing runs on your device, so the site can stay free without a signup wall in front of it or an upsell in the middle of a job.
