Convert Image
Universal converter: JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, BMP, TIFF, SVG, HEIC, AVIF.
About Convert Image
Convert an image between the formats a browser can honestly decode — JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, BMP, TIFF, SVG, HEIC and AVIF — with the output format chosen on the page and a quality slider for the lossy ones. There is no plugin to install and no account to make, and iPhone HEIC files are handled as readily as JPGs.
Turning whatever a phone or a camera produced into the format the receiving system accepts.
How to use Convert Image in 3 steps
- Drop the images onto the drop area; mixed formats are fine in one batch.
- Pick the Output format, and set Quality if you chose JPG or WEBP.
- Convert and download the new files.

Convert Image: questions
- Can I convert HEIC from my iPhone without iCloud?
- Yes. The browser decodes HEIC directly, so you drop the file in and get a JPG out — no iCloud conversion setting, no app.
- Does converting lose quality?
- Any lossy output re-encodes the pixels once, so converting to JPG costs a little. Going to PNG is lossless, and each extra generation of JPG makes the artefacts more visible — convert once, from the best source you have.
- Why can it not write an animated GIF?
- The canvas pipeline encodes a single frame. Converting GIF to JPG or PNG gives you the first frame; authoring animation is a different job and is not claimed here.
- Which format should I pick for a website?
- WEBP for photographs — it is markedly smaller at the same visible quality. PNG for anything with transparency or flat colour, JPG when a legacy target must open everywhere.
