About Word to PDF

Word to PDF is not live yet, and this page says so rather than handing you a broken promise. Faithful .docx rendering needs a layout engine such as LibreOffice running on a server, and ScanMaster's browser tools deliberately do not upload your documents. Meanwhile the two routes below produce a PDF that keeps your formatting exactly.

The documents you were sent in Word and need as PDFs today.

How to use Word to PDF in 3 steps

  1. Open the .docx in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice — the app that already lays it out correctly.
  2. Choose File → Print or Save as PDF, and keep the paper size you started with.
  3. Bring the finished PDF here to merge, compress, sign, protect or flatten it.

What you get with Word to PDF

  • Print-to-PDF from the source app preserves fonts, columns and captions exactly
  • Every post-processing step — merge, compress, sign, watermark — already runs in your browser
  • No upload of an unfinished document to a converter you have never met
  • Free to use, with no signup and no account
  • No watermark or logo added to your output
  • Works on desktop and mobile, no install

Word to PDF: questions

Why is Word to PDF still coming soon?
A .docx stores styles and layout rules, not final positions. Rendering it faithfully means running a full office layout engine, which cannot happen inside a browser tab. We would rather label it honestly than give you a PDF with the tables in the wrong place.
What should I do right now?
Use Save as PDF in Word or Google Docs — it is free, exact and takes one menu. Then use the PDF tools here on the result.
Can I get the text out of a PDF instead?
Yes, in reverse: PDF to Word rebuilds a PDF's text layer into an editable .docx, and PDF to Text gives you plain text.
