Add Page Numbers
Number every page — choose position, style and starting value.
About Add Page Numbers
Add page numbers to a PDF in the position, style and starting value you need — bottom centre, top right, Roman or plain digits, beginning at 1 or at whatever number the first real page carries. Useful for scans that arrive unnumbered and for chapters merged from separate files.
Numbering a thesis, a manual or a merged packet before it is filed or printed.

Add Page Numbers: questions
- Can I number only part of the document?
- Yes — set the range you want numbered. Covers and blank inserts are the usual exclusions.
- Why do the numbers not match the PDF viewer's page count?
- Because the viewer counts physical pages while your document counts printed folios. Set the first number to the folio the first page should show and they agree again.
- Can I process several files at once?
- Yes, up to 50 files in a batch, each no larger than 100 MB. Results come back together instead of one save dialog per file.
- Where does the processing actually happen?
- In this tab. The file is read locally, converted or edited locally, and handed back as a download — no copy is sent to a server, so there is nothing for anyone to breach or keep.
- Will it work on a phone?
- Yes. The layout adapts to a small screen and the processing runs in the mobile browser, so a photo or a downloaded document can be handled on the device it arrived on.
