Sign PDF: questions
- Is this a legally valid electronic signature?
- In most day-to-day business use, yes — an electronic signature applied to a document you control. It is not a qualified digital certificate with a cryptographic seal; for that you want a signature with a certificate authority, and Verify Signature will not claim otherwise.
- Can the signature be moved afterwards?
- The mark is placed into the page like any other content. If you need it immovable, flatten the PDF afterwards so the signature becomes part of the page.
- Should I upload a transparent PNG of my signature?
- Yes. A JPG signature carries a white rectangle that will cover whatever is behind it.
- Can I sign on a phone?
- Yes — draw with your finger on the touchscreen, and the whole page layout is responsive.
